Hello everyone! For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Chad Lucci, and I have CF. I know that sounds like an AA meeting, but I don’t normally introduce myself that way. Because that’s not the first thing people think about when they meet me. I feel like I live a well-rounded and balanced life in spite of my illness. I am currently 40 years old, and have been a Physician Assistant for the past 10 years. My wife, Mari and I live in Denver, CO with our teenage son Jackson and our two dogs, Hendrix and Meatloaf. We try to enjoy an active lifestyle, despite the challenges of CF.
This is something I have wanted to do for a long time. To speak more openly about my experiences with CF and how it affects my daily life. The constant themes in my life have been both CF and music, so I thought I would blend the two together. As Bob Marley said, “One good thing about music, when it hits you feel no pain.” And I’ve always used music as a release, to help me through both good times and bad. I plan to use the blog as a way to express myself and the day-to-day challenges of living with CF. So I thought my blog posts would have the theme of a particular song or lyric that resonates with me that would, in turn, be a relevant topic for my battle with CF. Remember, CF doesn’t have to define you. I live a productive life, have a successful career, and a great and supportive family.
So, enjoy! I hope this blog finds you and finds you well. And please contact me with any thoughts that you might have, or similar stories or experiences. I would love to hear from anyone in the community. You can comment on any post, or e-mail me directly: firstname.lastname@example.org
Peace and love to all.
